For example, the traditional roof plumbing boots that go over the plumbing pipes coming up out of the roof have black rubber at the bottom of them, and that will deteriorate in a matter of a few years; which will fall way short of the life expectancy of the roof. Metal plumbing boots are the best. Also, installing ridge vent is recommended instead of putting in turbine vents; this will help give a new roof the proper full life expectancy providing the proper ventilation.
